When first meeting the mom and pop owners of Ripped Van Winkle Cannabis products the problem was obvious, they needed a brand that stood out amongst their competitors without using gimmick design. The goal was to create a joyful brand experience while remaining sophisticated and credible. The direction chose to solve our client's design problems was to create unique, edgy, and original designs that reflect their brand – but also express their own personality.

For the Ripped Van Winkle Edibles product line, we had to determine a packaging solution that would elicit an emotional response while addressing the needs the user has when purchasing cannabis edibles. We focused on simplicity and clarity in design to draw your eye to the simple and elegant nature of their products. An additional challenge was to transform their corporate style from square and dull into something full of color and excitement. We achieved this with imagery on both sides of the box. The result is a package that maintains a fun appeal for the consumer while creating trust in the quality and safety of their product.
